Otology (Ear)

The commonest ear conditions which the clinic sees are:
1. Ear pain / ear discharge / ear infections
2. Impacted ear wax
3. Tinnitus (ringing in the ear)
4. Hearing loss

rhinology (Nose)

The most common conditions that the clinic sees are:
1. Allergic Rhinitis
2. Sinusitis
3. Bleeding noses
4. Blocked noses

Larnyngoloy (throat)

The most common throat related emergencies are:
1. Accidental swallowing of a fish bone
2. Sore throat and Fever

The non-emergency problems that we commonly see are:
1. Hoarseness
2. Sensation of a lump in the throat

Head & Neck Surgery

There are a variety of cancers in the Head & Neck region e.g. throat, salivary glands, thyroid, nasopharynx, lymph nodes, etc. The two most common cancers that the clinic sees are Nasopharyngeal Cancer and Thyroid cancer. 

Patients usually come to the clinic because: 
1. They notice a lump somewhere in the neck
2. They notice blood staining of the nasal secretions or phelgm

Facial Plastic Surgery is a sub-specialty of  Otolaryngology. The scope is limited to the Head & Neck region. Our clinic does not perform procedures like Breast Implants, abdominal liposuction, removal of varicose veins of the legs, etc.

REconstructive surgery

Facial Plastic Surgery is not a purely cosmetic discipline. A significant proportion of the work includes:
1. Soft tissue injuries to the face e.g. cuts, lacerations
2. Facial Fractures
3. Injuries to the ears
4. Reconstruction after skin cancers of the nose, ear and face

The scope of Facial Plastic Surgery is also not entirely surgical. We also provide:
1. Laser treatments
2. Fillers
3. Botox
